Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you usually work with?
I provide online therapy for adults in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Many of my clients are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or challenges with relationships and parenting. Together, we create a supportive space to work through what matters most to you.
Do you offer in-person or online sessions?
My practice is fully virtual. I offer secure online counseling sessions (telehealth) for clients located in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This means you can meet with me from the comfort of your home, office, or any private space—no commute required. Many clients appreciate the convenience and flexibility of virtual therapy.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Sessions are usually about 50 minutes. Most people start with weekly sessions, but we’ll decide together what pace feels supportive for you.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! I am in-network with multiple insurances. Please see my Psychology Today profile for the entire list or the “Insurances Accepted” tab above! If I’m not in-network with your plan, I can give you a statement (called a superbill) that you may be able to submit for reimbursement.
What is your session fee?
My fee is $120 per 50-minute session. If cost is a concern, let’s talk—I do keep a few reduced-fee spots available. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more about affordable online counseling options.
Getting Started
How do I set up my first appointment?
You can schedule directly online, call, or email me. I’ll walk you through the simple steps and answer any questions before we get started. During our initial session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your goals, and make sure this feels like the right fit for you.
What happens in the first session?
Our first session is really about you—what’s been going on, what brought you here, and what you’d like to get out of therapy. It’s also a chance for you to get a feel for me and see if this feels like a good fit.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’ve been feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or simply want some support navigating life, therapy can be a helpful space. Many people find that just having a place to talk openly makes a difference.
The Therapy Process
How long will I need therapy?
Every client’s journey is different. Some people come to therapy for short-term support with a specific issue, while others find ongoing online counseling helpful for deeper growth. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy is supporting you in the way you need.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is very important, and everything you share in therapy sessions is kept confidential, with a few rare exceptions required by law. We’ll review this together in our first session so you feel fully informed and comfortable.
What kind of approach do you use?
I draw from CBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, but I tailor sessions to each person. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s about finding what works best for you.
Practical Details
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens! I ask for 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows me to offer the time to someone else who may be waiting.
Do you prescribe medication?
I don’t prescribe medication, but if that’s something you’re interested in exploring, I can connect you with a psychiatrist or your doctor and we can collaborate as a team.
Can I reach you between sessions?
The best way to reach me is by email or voicemail for scheduling or quick questions. If you ever feel unsafe or in crisis, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
✨ If you don’t see your question here, please reach out—I’d be happy to answer and help you feel comfortable starting therapy.
